The Wilson 802365 4G AWS 70dB Amplifier is a high powered amplifier which operates on the AWS 1700/2100MHz band. This band is used by T-Mobile in the US for their 3G and 4G network as well as a few other networks. Here is a list of other 3G/4G networks covered by the 802365:
- USA - T-Mobile, Cincinnati Bell Wireless
- Canada - WIND Mobile, Mobilicity, Videotron
- Chile - VTR, Nextel
The kit can provide up to 8,000 sq ft of improved signal.
The amplifier is sold here as a complete kit, with all the antennas and cables you need to boost signal in your home/office. You can customize the kit by changing both antennas and cable lengths to suit your needs.
How it works:
The outside antenna is placed in the area of best signal, collects it and sends it through a cable to the amplifier. The amplified signal is then sent the through a cable to the indoor antenna. This provides an area of improved signal that can be used by up to 15 phones or data cards simultaneously.
Kit recommendations:
Outside antenna: For optimum coverage area, we recommend using the 304411 yagi antenna. This is a directional antenna that is pointed to the nearest cellular tower (see below for a video). If you need to receive signal from multiple towers, then you should choose the 301202 pole antenna. This antenna receives signal from all directions. As the 802365 is for a single network, then the 304411 is most likely to give the best performance.
Indoor antenna: Here you have a choice of either a ceiling mount antenna (301121) or a wall mount antenna (301135). Choose which suits your own circumstance.
Cable lengths: Use whatever cable lengths you need to make the kit work. To ensure enough isolation between the outdoor and indoor antennas, we recommend using at least 70ft of cable.
Optional accessories: If you are in a high storm area then we recommend the surge protector to protect your kit. Unless you are boosting signal for a large warehouse with no walls, using add-on internal antennas will dramatically increase the coverage area of this kit. We recommend using at least one add-on antenna for each 2-3 thousand square feet in the building. Add-on antennas are also very useful for distributing signal between multiple floors.
