The amplifier in this kit is the Wilson 801201 is a wireless dual band in-vehicle repeater with 40db gain. The amplifier is dual band, working with all US networks except Nextel. It is the most powerful amplifier on our site designed for in-car use, and is well suited for rural/urban areas of very low signal.
This kit needs an external antenna to work.

The kit includes Wilson's exciting new Cell Phone Cradle Plus (301146), a versatile car cradle with a built-in antenna. Using the cradle not only extends cellular range and provides better coverage, but it allows drivers to keep both hands on the wheel when using their cell phones, greatly increasing safety. The cradle can fit any cellular phone, and when the phone is docked supports any hands-free device, including ear-buds and Bluetooth products. The cradle also has a broadcast antenna, which rebroadcasts the boosted signal around the vehicle, supporting many wireless users at once.
The amplifier is powered through your cigarette lighter socket with the aid of the supplied power adapter. An AC power supply is optionally available should this be required.
