The Wilson 801105 amplifier is a single band 800MHz amplifier. To see if it works with your network please check our Buyer Guide. When purchased as a complete kit it can provide up to 2,500 sq ft of improved signal. For larger kits up to 10,000 sq ft see our Large Building Kits.
The amplifier is sold here as a complete kit, with all the antennas and cables you need to boost signal in your home/office. You can customize the kit by changing both antennas and cable lengths to suit your needs.
How it works:
The outside antenna is placed in the area of best signal, collects it and sends it through a cable to the amplifier. The SOHO amplifier boosts the signal, and then sends the boosted signal through a cable to the inside antenna. This provides an area of improved signal that can be used by up to 15 phones or data cards simultaneously.
Kit recommendations:
Outside antenna: If you are using the kit in your home, then we recommend the 301111 13dB yagi antenna. This antenna is directional, and so needs to be pointed towards your nearest cell tower. You can find your nearest tower on this website. If you prefer a shorter antenna, there is the 301129 10dB yagi. If you need to receive signal from multiple towers, then we recommend the omni-directional 'trucker' antenna and roof mount.
Indoor antenna: We recommend the ceiling mounted Wilson 301121 for most applications. The 301123 is similar, but can be mounted on either the ceiling or wall. There is also 2 directional antennas - one window mount and one wall mount. These are higher gain, but will only cover areas in front of the antenna.
Cable lengths: Use whatever cable lengths you need to make the kit work. Remember that coaxial cable attenuates the signal, so try to use as little as possible.
Optional accessories: If you are in a high storm area then we recommend the surge protector to protect your kit. If you are using the kit in your truck or RV there is an in-car cigarette charger or hardwire kit for more permanent installations. There are also a variety of carrying cases if you intend to move the amplifier around regularly.
